ABOUT PPTNM Planned Parenthood of Tennessee and North Mississippi
(PPTNM) provides affordable, high quality and non-judgmental sexual
health care, honest and accurate sexual health education, and
fearless advocacy for reproductive rights. PPTNM serves 20,000
patients annually with locations in Memphis, Nashville, and
Knoxville. PPTNM?s education and advocacy programs engage thousands
of clients, supporters, and volunteers annually. The Vice President
and Corporate Controller position is located at PPTNM?s
administrative office in Midtown Memphis.

YOUR IMPACT As Director of Finance (DOF), you will shape the
financial strength, integrity, and long-term sustainability of
Planned Parenthood of Tennessee & North Mississippi (PPTNM). As a
key member of the Senior Leadership Team and trusted strategic
finance business partner to the CEO, you will ensure financial
strategy directly supports mission delivery across a multi-site
nonprofit healthcare organization. You will lead in partnership
with the CEO nonprofit financial stewardship, GAAP-compliant
reporting, grant accountability, accreditation readiness, and
forward-looking financial planning & analysis. This role requires
both strategic vision and hands-on execution. In a small,
high-performing department with significant volume and complexity,
you must be equally comfortable setting financial direction and
rolling up your sleeves to ensure accurate reporting, strong
controls, and timely deliverables. You will strengthen systems,
enhance automation, and bring clarity to complex, highly regulated
financial environments influenced by external governing bodies and
funding variability. Working in close partnership with the CEO, you
will provide executive-level financial insight and recommendations
while operating within established governance structures. The CEO
retains final authority over financial decisions and external
communications, and you will collaborate to ensure alignment in all
Board materials and formal financial disclosures. Your leadership
will directly support PPTNM?s ability to deliver care, expand
access, and sustain its mission.

WHAT YOU?LL DO Executive Financial Leadership & CEO Partnership
Serve as the primary financial advisor and strategic thought
partner to the CEO. Participate as an active member of the Senior
Leadership Team, contributing to enterprise-wide strategy and
sustainability planning. Provide forward-looking financial
modeling, scenario analysis, and long-range planning to support
mission growth and operational stability. Partner with the CCO to
travel throughout the affiliate footprint to support financial
alignment within Health Care Services. Exercise disciplined
judgment within established governance structures and delegated
authority. Nonprofit Accounting & GAAP Compliance Ensure all
financial reporting is prepared in accordance with U.S. Generally
Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and nonprofit accounting
standards. Oversee fund accounting practices, including restricted
and unrestricted fund tracking. Ensure compliance with Financial
Accounting Standards Board (FASB) requirements applicable to
nonprofit organizations. Maintain strong internal controls to
safeguard assets and ensure transparency and accountability.
Develop and enforce financial policies aligned with nonprofit
governance best practices. Grant Accounting & Funding Compliance
Lead all grant accounting functions, including allocation
methodologies, billing, reporting, and compliance oversight. Ensure
adherence to federal, state, foundation, and private funding
requirements. Partner with Development and program leaders to
ensure financial integrity of grant-funded initiatives. Maintain
audit-ready documentation and financial reporting systems that
support accreditation and regulatory reviews. Governance,
Accreditation & National Reporting Align Finance Department
operations with Enterprise Operating Procedures (EOPs) and
accreditation standards. Ensure departmental preparedness for
accreditation reviews, compliance audits, and regulatory
examinations. Oversee required financial reporting and submissions
to Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) national
organization. Partner with the CEO in preparation for Board
financial reporting and governance oversight. Audit & Financial
Stewardship Lead preparation of annual audited financial statements
in accordance with GAAP. Serve as primary liaison to external
auditors, working in partnership with the CEO throughout audit
planning, fieldwork, and review. Ensure timely resolution of audit
findings and implementation of recommendations. Present financial
dashboards and performance insights to the Board in collaboration
with the CEO. Safeguard organizational assets and assess financial
risk exposure. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Lead annual
budgeting process and multi-year financial forecasting. Provide
monthly budget-to-actual analysis and executive dashboards. Conduct
financial modeling related to service expansions, reimbursement
changes, funding shifts, and strategic initiatives. Strengthen
finance partnership across key departments. Accounting Operations &
Systems Leadership Oversee all accounting functions including
payroll, A/R, A/P, general ledger, reconciliations, monthly close,
and cash flow management. Supervise and develop a Finance team of
two direct reports. Maintain and optimize Sage accounting software
as the affiliate?s core financial platform. Identify and implement
automation opportunities and workflow enhancements to improve
departmental efficiency and strengthen internal controls. Ensure
integrity and security of financial systems and data. Multi-Site
Financial Support Partner with CCO and Health Care Services
leadership to prepare budgets and support in analyzing financial
performance. Support capital expenditure planning for facilities
and medical equipment investments. Provide financial guidance
across multiple service locations to ensure operational alignment.

influenced by external governing bodies, shifting reimbursement
models, regulatory changes, and funding variability. Demonstrates

Accreditation & Regulatory Alignment ? Experience operating within
accreditation standards and national organizational reporting
frameworks. Systems Optimization & Automation Leadership ? Proven
success improving financial systems and enhancing workflow
efficiency (Sage experience preferred). Cross-Functional

clinical, operational, and administrative teams. Team Leadership &
Accountability ? Leads and develops small, high-performing teams

required. Education Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or Finance
required. Preferred: Master?s degree and/or CPA strongly preferred.
Other certifications, CMA, CNAP Experience 10 years of progressive
financial leadership experience. Senior-level nonprofit accounting
oversight required. Demonstrated GAAP-compliant financial reporting
experience. Strong grant accounting and fund management expertise
required. Experience in healthcare and/or multi-site operations
strongly preferred. Experience managing a small finance team
required. Experience with Sage accounting software strongly
