of Student Involvement & Leadership Development The Director of
Student Involvement & Leadership Development ensures a lively and
engaging student co-curricular experience. The Director supervises
the Student Involvement Board, sets departmental strategy, manages
budgets, establishes policies and risk management procedures,
ensures compliance, serves as a liaison to senior leadership, and
leads assessment and reporting efforts to enhance student
engagement, leadership capacity, and the effectiveness of student
clubs and organizations. RESPONSIBILITIES Advise and mentor student
clubs/organizations. Facilitate training for new and returning
student club/organization leadership and their advisors, including
student policy and procedures training and onboarding. Support
club/organization leaders in goal setting, leadership transitions,
conflict resolution, and club/organization development. Assist
clubs/organizations with compliance, policies, risk management, and
best practices for student-led groups. Provide direct supervision
and strategic vision to the Student Involvement Board. Support the
planning, implementation, and evaluation of student-led events,
programs, and campus traditions. Provide guidance on event
logistics, budgeting, marketing, accessibility, and risk
management. Collaborate with student committees and governing
bodies to provide engaging and enriching student activities.
Develop leadership resources and toolkits for student
clubs/organizations and thestudent Involvement Board. Develop
leadership development metrics for the Student Involvement Board
and club/organization officers. Assist with large-scale Student
Life events. Collaborate with campus departments (e.g., Facilities,
Campus Safety, Marketing & Communications) to support student
events and clubs/organizations. Evaluate programs, student
participation, and student learning outcomes. Act as the lead on
all department reporting and assessment projects.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIRED SKILLS Bachelors degree in business,
marketing, event planning, hospitality, or a related field
(required) Minimum of two years of experience in marketing,
leadership development, event planning, or a related area Masters
degree in higher education, student affairs, or a related field
(preferred) Strong communication skills Ability to remain calm in
stressful situations and project a welcoming and supportive
presence Ability to work with student records and maintain
confidentiality (required)Understanding of Title IX, Title VI,
FERPA, and other higher education regulations (preferred) Social
media marketing skills Ability to thrive in a complex environment
Well-organized, self-directed, and creative Ability to work with
