Product Development Engineer Location: On-site, Melbourne, FL
(Hybrid/Remote flexibility available) Employment Type: Full-Time
Reports to: Chief Technology Officer (CTO) About the Opportunity We
are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Engineer to
support the development, optimization, and delivery of advanced
technology products, including thermal management and
heat-rejection systems used in high-performance computing and data
center environments. This is a hands-on engineering role that
blends product design, prototyping, testing, manufacturing support,
and cross-functional collaboration. You will help create new
products, improve existing ones, and contribute directly to the
organization's growth and technical roadmap. What You Will Do Core
Responsibilities: Conceptualize new product ideas, including
prototype fabrication, testing, and data processing to evaluate
performance. Evaluate product performance throughout the design
cycle and make adjustments to improve efficiency, reliability, and
cost-effectiveness. Test multiple materials, manufacturing methods,
and design tolerances to determine the best combinations for new
product designs. Develop detailed product specifications and
manufacturing procedures; support certification processes for new
products. Assist in developing quality control criteria and safety
guidelines for engineering and production teams. Analyze existing
products to identify improvements and update technical
documentation, reference designs, and product materials. Conduct
research to understand competitive products and contribute to
go-to-market strategy discussions for data center market segments.
Support business development and sales teams by participating in
customer calls and explaining product capabilities and value
propositions. Required Skills and Qualifications Master's degree in
Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and
quality control methods. Experience building experimental setups
and using measurement techniques to evaluate product performance.
Proficiency with CAD software and technical report-writing tools.
Strong communication, teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving
skills. Preferred Skills and Qualifications Ph.D. in Mechanical
Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
Knowledge of multiphase heat transfer and liquid cooling solutions
for electronics, including active and passive thermal systems.
Experience with MATLAB, Python, C/C++, or similar programming
