Job Description: KAIT the ABC/NBC/CW Affiliate in Jonesboro, Arkansas has an immediate opening for an Operations Manager. The Operations Manager will work in KAIT's state-of-the-art control center and will oversee the day-to-day On-Air operations. The successful candidate for this job would assist the Director of Engineering in maintaining the daily operations of the Operations department. These duties would include scheduling administration for the TMP staff; coordination of weekly show distribution; development and oversight of training programs for new employees and continuing education for current staff; and fill-in responsibility for sick co-workers. Duties/Responsibilities include, but not limited to: - Manage nine Technical Media Producers who direct newscasts execute master control duties and serve in an on-call capacity in support of their efforts.- Manage quality control workflows to make sure all programs and commercials are prepared and ready to air in a timely fashion.- Prepare and direct live and pre-recorded productions.- Work with other departments including KAIT's newsroom to coordinate and produce top-rated newscasts.- Operate Ross Overdrive automation (including Panasonic cameras, Ross carbonite series switcher, Caprica, and Ross Dashboard) and support equipment in KAIT's Media control center.- Operate the Stations' Master control systems.- Regular care and maintenance of equipment and studio.- Knowledge of FCC regulations about Television Broadcasts. Qualifications/Requirements: - Team player with a professional attitude and strong communication skills.- Ability to multitask under time-sensitive deadlines.- Strong technical and computing skills.- Previous newscast directing and master control experience is preferred.- Excellent time management and Attention to detail skills.
