Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 07/21/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER) Facility: Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital Location: 7691 Poplar Ave, Germantown, TN 38138 Start Date: July 21, 2025 Assignment Duration: 13 weeks Shifts: Nights, 3x12-Hour (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) Contract Type: Travel Assignment License Requirement: Active RN license in compact state or TN (no pending licenses accepted) Job Summary: Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital is seeking skilled and experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurses for night shift positions. This is a short-term acute care facility and a Level I Trauma Center. Candidates must have the clinical knowledge and judgment to deliver patient care safely and effectively in a high-acuity ER setting. Minimum Requirements: - Experience: - Minimum 2 years recent ER nursing experience required - Level I Trauma Center experience is required - Large hospital experience preferred - First-time travelers not accepted unless they have 3 years of recent ER experience - At least 1 completed travel assignment required - Certifications: - BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS (preferred or as required per state/facility guidelines) - License: - Must hold an active, unrestricted RN license from a compact state or Tennessee - Pending licenses are not accepted - Driver’s License: - A valid Driver’s License must be submitted with the candidate profile Facility Guidelines: - Local Rule: Travelers must live at least 100 miles away from the facility - Holiday Requirement: Must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s) if they fall during the assignment - Call/Float: - On-call: As needed - RNs may float between similar units or campuses within a 20-mile radius, although it is rare - RTO: All Requested Time Off (RTO) must be included at time of submission—no exceptions - Block Scheduling: Not guaranteed; weekend blocks may be considered depending on manager approval - Flu Vaccine: Required – No exemptions allowed - COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required at this time Responsibilities: - Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care for patients of all ages - Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using the facility’s charting system (Cerner preferred) Additional Information: - Unit Type: Emergency Room - Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care - Trauma Level: Level I Trauma Center - Floating: Rare, but possible within 20 miles to similar units About HonorVet Technologies HonorVet Technologies: Pioneering Purpose, Empowering Heroes Founded in 2015, HonorVet Technologies stands as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), proudly certified by NaVOBA and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
