Simplot Company is a true farm-to-table company with operations that touch every aspect of agriculture, including seed production, farming and ranching, plant sciences, fertilizer manufacturing, food processing, commercial product development, and distribution.SummaryUnder general direction, the Shipping Receiving Coordinator ensures product availability, schedules deliveries, maintains associated inventory records, and assists in the day-to-day coordination of related functions, while meeting regulatory and safety requirements.--Key Responsibilities------- --Coordinates product delivery to growers at an SGS operation to maximize resources of staff and to meet customer needs by scheduling and dispatching delivery staff in a manner which economically utilizes physical and human resources. May personally deliver product to customers. --------- --Provides service to walk-in customers. Receives telephone orders from customers and Sales Representatives. Prepares product mix instruction sheets, Material Safety Data Sheets, and work orders. --------- --Makes product purchase recommendations to Supervisor/Market Manager to ensure adequate inventory to meet sales and delivery needs. Ensures appropriate receipt and recordkeeping of unit inventory. • Six months to one year of related experience and/or training.----
• Must be organized and able to use the computer effectively.----
• Prior experience in the agriculture industry preferred.----
• Forklift certification is a plus.----
• Knowledge of basic farm equipment and operation preferred--
• Chemical and/or fertilizer knowledge.----Other Information
