Overview
Job Title: Content Developer
Department: Marketing
Reports To: Director of Marketing
General Description Responsible for graphic design and creative
production needs of the organization by leveraging data and market
insights to develop impactful messages, video, and/or imagery to be
used across the various consumer touchpoints. Develops content to
be used for a variety of applications as assigned, including web,
mobile, email, social, and more. Researches, coordinates, edits,
proofs, and integrates the work of others when necessary, to
produce assets that meet established branding guidelines and
project objectives. Collaborates with other content developers on
the development of content creation for cross-platform use.
Analyzes content needs and studies content consumption data to
optimize content and develops a schedule for updates, archiving,
and ongoing production of content. Experienced in using a variety
of content creation tools.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions include the following, other activities may
be assigned:
Protects and enhances our brands and brand images and how they are
presented to the public through the creation of graphics, videos,
written content.
A/B testing of creative assets to determine top performing content
for continued improvement and brand positioning across varies types
of marketing channels.
Responsible for the email marketing program of Home Outlet (both
automated journeys and custom monthly emails), with the goal of
driving traffic to store and/or website and driving eCommerce
revenue.
Maintains and develops consumer contact lists (includes
segmentation to identify various target groups such as
professionals, consumer product interest, and more).
Develops bi-monthly email campaigns for each brand and target group
which includes collection information and assets from purchasing
department; monitors and tracks each email campaign to determine
performance and adjust tactics accordingly.
May create special campaigns, as needed, to communicate various
information to consumers - including sale events and/or non-sale
promotions, store changes, etc.
Assist with providing creative assets to update banners on the
website, development of promotional landing pages, social media
video and graphics and more.
May assist in the development of internal branding collateral
across the corporate office including print, web, and video
assets.
Remains current on job specific knowledge (authoring tools, graphic
design tools, social media tools, best practices).

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university,
marketing, communications, or journalism degree preferred; 3-5
years of related experience; basic design and social media
management experience a plus.
Computer and Technical Skills
Strong writing and editing skills required. Ability to use
Microsoft Word and Excel programs. Familiarity with social media,
graphic design software, and Mac computers preferred.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,
operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to
speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of
organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of
measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, and to
read and interpret graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of
concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization
exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in
written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
