Ritter invests heavily in the communities it serves by deploying proven, best-in-class infrastructure and technology, while coupling it with a world-class customer focused experience. - General Summary: - - - - - The Training Specialist supports business leaders and internal stakeholders by formulating and instituting development strategies that create business value. The role selects, designs, and facilitates training programs, including the development and maintenance of course content, while also measuring effectiveness of training activities, developing classroom-based and blended learning instruction, choosing source materials for development of learning curriculum, and collaborating with managers to adapt approach and delivery based on audience needs. Essential Job Functions:

  • Supports all business areas with the development of training programs to address business needs, development opportunities, and competency gaps;
  • Designs and formulates learning solutions and executes training strategies;
  • Determines the appropriate delivery models of learning and development programs;
  • Works with internal stakeholders to translate business objectives and related learning needs into scalable and effective learning solutions and initiatives that align with business priorities;
  • Translates business goals and objectives into realistic training curriculum;
  • Designs training programs using a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as classroom training, e-learning, micro-learning, role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, webinars, videos and self-directed methods;
  • Partners with internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to obtain input for course content and supplements SME content input with external research as needed;
  • Utilizes multi-media tools to develop impactful, engaging content for both instructor-led and self-paced training;
  • Develops tools to complement training efforts such as tips, guides, FAQs, exercises, surveys;
  • Develops and monitors criteria/metrics to assess the effectiveness of training programs and activities;
  • Establishes methodologies, standards, processes, and best practices to ensure all training materials are consistent and up to date;
  • Maintains content for the Learning Management System and/or ensure training materials are available online in the training wiki;
  • Administers and leverages Learning Management System (LMS) to communicate programs, register participants, track attendance;
  • Facilitates annual certification trainings and compliance trainings, as needed, by developing content or arranging for third-party training Manage relationships with third party corporate training vendors as necessary (external trainers, software vendors, etc.);
  • Delivers instructor led classroom training;
  • Manages training logistics by scheduling the appropriate meeting or classroom, preparing the physical setup, ensuring appropriate resources / tools / equipment are provided, arranging refreshments;
  • Provides Process and Systems Improvement projects with change management support, specifically contributing to:
    • Identifying the groups and people who will be impacted by the process/system changes;
    • Creating a customized plan for ensuring impacted employees receive the awareness, leadership, coaching, and training they need in order to change successfully;
    • Developing related communications developing and executing training programs;
    • Ensuring the project's solution is effectively embraced, adopted and used;
      • Travels to customer sites, project areas, business related events, and other Ritter Communications locations as required. - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
        • Knowledge of Company policies and procedures;
        • Proficient in the use of one or more Learning Management System software solutions;
        • Experience using graphics software and video/voice editing tools;
        • Strong organizational and project management skills;
        • Strong oral and written communication skills including presentation skills and facilitation skills; - ability to clearly articulate thoughts and ideas;
        • Demonstrated ability to employ research; strong critical thinking skills;
        • Professional demeanor; excellent listening skills;
        • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and participate as both an independent contributor with little supervision and as an active, collaborative team member - depending on situation and needs;
        • Proficient in the use of various software programs including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word) SharePoint;
        • Knowledge of Change Management discipline and models;
        • Ability to work independently and pay close attention to detail with little direction;
        • Ability to develop effective working relationships across the organization;
        • Ability to use various office equipment such as personal computer and telephone system;
        • Ability to travel for business requirements; must possess a valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record. Education and Experience: - - Bachelor's Degree in business, industrial and organizational development / psychology, education, instructional design, communications or a related discipline and 1 year of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
