Description Leidos is hiring licensed behavioral health
professionals to join our Mission Ready Reserve (MRR) team in the
state of Arkansas with flexibility and availability to provide
counseling support locally (Join the mission to support U.S.
service members and their families as they work through important
military life adjustments while serving their country.The MRR team
offers a unique opportunity to serve a vital role, based on your
availability, in providing counseling services to U.S. service
members and their families in assignments ranging from several
hours up to 180 days.For up to 3 days of support:
- On-Demand Support: Military and Family Life Counselors (MFLCs)
are available to give immediate support at military events that
occur off installation. Events include, but are not limited to:
deployment cycle, drill weekends, family events, annual training,
and marriage retreats.For up to 7 days of support:
- Child and Youth Camps: Offer military children the opportunity
to come together and share their experiences. Child and Youth
Behavioral Military and Family Life Counselors (CYB-MFLCs) are
available to provide counseling support at camps, which can cover a
wide variety of themes, such as deployment and bereavement. Camps
include and are not limited to: National Military Family
Association Operation Purple camps, National Guard and Reserve
camps, Operation: Military Kids Camps.For up to 90 days of support:
- Summer Program and Camp Support: Summer program and camp
support is provided to military children during installation child
and youth summer programs, Department of Defense Education Activity
(DoDEA) summer school. Dates vary and support the school year
calendar.
- Short-term Surge Support: Tailored to specific situations as
they arise in a targeted area. MFLCs assist service members and
their families to enhance operational and family readiness during
challenging times. Potential issues necessitating surge support can
include and are not limited to: deployment-related reintegration
challenges, military contingencies, natural disaster or crisis,
grief, and loss.
- Counselors work a highly flexible 40-hour work week to
accommodate the needs of the community.For up to 180 days of
support:
- Substitute for a full-time MFLC or CYB-MFLC Counselor to
backfill a temporary vacancy on installation based on the needs of
the community.Adult Military and Family Life Counseling (MFLC)
responsibilities include:The Military and Family Life Counseling
Program provides confidential non-medical counseling to active-duty
service members, National Guard and reserve members, Department of
Defense civilian expeditionary workforce members, and the immediate
family members and survivors of any of the above.Available in
person at installation Military and Family Support Centers, service
members and their families can rely on MFLCs to rapidly respond
when they need it most. MFLCs are available for confidential
face-to-face counseling and provide briefings and presentations to
staff or units.Child and Youth Behavioral Military and Family Life
Counselor (CYB-MFLCs) responsibilities include:CYB-MFLCs provide
support to families and augment child and youth programs, DoDEA
schools, local education agencies, and camps designed for military
children and youth and special operations commands. Counselors
provide non-medical support, which includes counseling,
consultation, and outreach, to eligible faculty, staff, parents,
children, and youth. They may observe, participate, and engage in
activities with children and youth; provide coaching, guidance and
support to staff and parents; and model behavior management
techniques for staff and parents.As a consulting employee, Mission
Ready Reserve counselors will also benefit from:

interests you.Minimum Requirements:
- A Master's degree or higher in the Behavioral Health
Professions (MS/MSW/MA/PhD).
- Licensure to practice at the independent practice level (LCSW,
MFT, LPCC, Psychologist) in the state where you provide
services.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be able to pass a basic background check for employment, a
Child National Agency Check, and Inquiries (NACI/CNACI) clearance,
commonly called a Public Trust clearance.Pay Range:Pay Range
$28/hr. - $50/hr.Pay Range:Pay Range - -The Leidos pay range for
this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of
compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending
an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the
job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as
well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable
bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
